The Longest Lunchbreak
One day, Semi Sweet was working in her candy store where there was a long line. Same thing with Purple Violet, who was in her food booth.
At lunch break, Semi Sweet and Purple Violet ate together in a restaurant. They both knew about the other's tiring day.
"I've got an idea!" Semi Sweet suddenly exclaimed as she paid for her food.
"What?" Purple Violet sighed. She knew that it might not work out very well. Semi Sweet was usually overly silly.
"Let's have a short (very short) slumber party!" Semi Sweet said happily. She led her friend to her house, which was near her candy shop.
"I don't think this will work out..." Purple Violet started to explain, but Semi Sweet interrupted. "You don't want to be tired, do you?"
"Yeah, but..."
"Then this will work," she said. So the two went to sleep.
When they woke up, Semi Sweet looked at the time.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" she screamed so loud that perhaps a glass of water shattered in the kitchen. "We slept so long, too long, waaaay too long!"
They started at 1:00pm and ended at 4:00pm!
"Then I got an idea!" Purple Violet said as she washed her face in the bathroom.
"Why don't we work together to fix everything in our shops?"
So they worked together to take care of the now 30 customers lined up per shop. At the end of the day, they decided to put the candy shop with the food stall to make one big restaurant.
